When I was a kid, my mom made stew using beef’s tongue. She told me right after I ate it after I asked her about the meat and she insisted it was nothing weird. I felt pretty sick to my stomach after that but she found it quite funny.

I think once you eat something, you don’t think of it as weird or crazy. I suppose escargots, octopus and heart come closest. Though I’ve noticed, at potlucks, some people consider hummus and thai salad to be somewhat bizarre. I also have a friend who is creeped out by ketchup.
