#NutFree

Every year it gets harder and harder to find cute, store bought treats that are safe for my son, who is allergic to peanuts and tree nuts. Yes, I could make them from scratch and we often do, but sometimes, especially when the holidays are near, it is nice to get him the fun novelty items that other children can have.  So you can imagine my joy when I was recently contacted by Eleni’s New York.  This wonderful bakery is completely nut free and their signature sugar cookies are handmade and iced by hand as well. They taste pretty darn good to boot. 🙂

Aside from being nut free, the reason I was drawn to Eleni’s New York is because of the unique designs they offer. Cookies can be customized in several ways including monogram cookies or using a photo or your company logo as the design.  If you have an idea for a completely custom cookie Eleni’s will work with you to bring that to fruition.

#NutFree

Perhaps my most favourite item Eleni’s New York offers is their Color Me! cookies. Use them for a creative activity at your child’s birthday party or save them for a special treat on a rainy afternoon.  Use Eleni’s edible ink markers to draw to your heart’s content on the various shapes of cookies they offer with plain white icing. Whether you purchase the Color Me! cookies as individuals or buy their special gift tins, the options are endless.  William was able to test out the Turkey Set and he had a blast with them. See what he had to say:

Eleni’s New York has a great delivery system set up, but depending on where you are located in the world you will want to check their site first.  Delivery to Canada was very timely and everything arrived intact, with excellent packaging.  I was really impressed with how well it was wrapped up, beautiful tin and all.

Eleni’s is the perfect addition to your gift giving list of ideas for anyone, but especially if you have nut allergies in your family. Check out the amazing selection they have and get busy ordering!

Loved the video, that was sweet. The cookies sound fantastic, love that the kids can ‘paint’ them, they’ll enjoy them even more then 🙂

I wish something like this was available in my area. 2 of beautiful nieces are alergic to nuts and eggs and it would be wonderful to be able to buy something they could actually eat.

My allergy doctor retested me and came out with more allergies than I’d like to have. I also make my own desserts as it’s the only way to control quality and allergy. But, they are more expensive than store bought, so it’s more of a treat when I cook up desserts. On top of that, I make ingredient substitutions to adjust to my needs so, it takes more effort to interpret a regular recipe. I also know the frustration of not being able to just buy anything in store. If a product is right for me, the price is three times as much as regular brands so, it’s not necessarily a win-win if I make or buy ready-to-eat food.
