Every year it gets harder and harder to find cute, store bought treats that are safe for my son, who is allergic to peanuts and tree nuts. Eleni’s New York has a great delivery system set up, but depending on where you are located in the world you will want to check their site first. Delivery to Canada was very timely and everything arrived intact, with excellent packaging. I was really impressed with how well it was wrapped up, beautiful tin and all.

I wish something like this was available in my area. 2 of beautiful nieces are alergic to nuts and eggs and it would be wonderful to be able to buy something they could actually eat.

My allergy doctor retested me and came out with more allergies than I’d like to have. I also make my own desserts as it’s the only way to control quality and allergy. But, they are more expensive than store bought, so it’s more of a treat when I cook up desserts. On top of that, I make ingredient substitutions to adjust to my needs so, it takes more effort to interpret a regular recipe. I also know the frustration of not being able to just buy anything in store. If a product is right for me, the price is three times as much as regular brands so, it’s not necessarily a win-win if I make or buy ready-to-eat food.
