When days like this roll around everyone is filled with love. ♥ Love for the moms and dads that raised them, or the grandparents who babysat them, the aunts and cousins who were “just like my real parents”. Love for their daily caregivers, their close friends and siblings who were always there when needed. Love is abundant and shared freely. Sweet smelling flowers adorn many kitchen tables, heart melting cards line the mantle with adorably cute crafts and meals are lovingly tended to, in the kitchen or at a favorite restaurant. World wide the phone lines are humming with messages of love. It is truly a great day. I too have amazing people that today reminds me of. There is…
♥ My awesome Mom Flojean, a wonderful role model of love, faith, honesty, strength and compassion. Always willing to listen and share advice, but let me make my own path in life. My mama, who I am more like each day, which I embrace completely.
♥ My Aunt Gemma, who truly has been a surrogate mom throughout my life, always with an open heart and ear.
♥ My sister Janet, wise at an early age with the many talents a parent needs to survive, LOL. Always free with your love and words of wisdom.
♥ My Nana, long gone home to our Father, taught me to laugh, to love and to have patience and always have a bobby pin handy. 🙂
♥ My Aunt Toni, up with Nana, showed me that having unwavering faith in our Lord is a beautiful way to live life and to always “praise Jesus”.
♥ My aunts Brenda, Mary Lou and Martha, each gave me an example of how to be true to oneself, to love your children ( fur babies included ) unconditionally and to honor your roots.
♥ My mother in law Donna, always there when we need her; quietly, but with the strength many lack, taking on the challenge of caring for a disabled spouse.
♥ GG, great grandma to my children, having the tenacity to raise four kids alone while actively promoting her support of civil rights.
♥ My sisters in law, Dale and Tracey, always proud of their children’s accomplishments and those of their nieces and nephews.
♥ My BFF Kari, always there through thick and thin, inspiring in her ways with children, whether they are hers or not, and always accepting and forgiving of the mistakes people make.
♥ My pal Brenda, showing the strength to deal with the delinquents in this world, then put it away so she can volunteer at school and raise her sweet kids.
♥ My Disney friend Kim, always displaying generosity of self and spirit, taking on the trials of others and asking for nothing in return.
♥ My friend Cynthia, whose pride in her family and love for her family is only matched by her love of God.
♥ My chum Diana, overcoming physical challenges, supporting her children and relishing her role as a nana. 🙂
♥ My buddy Deb, always at every “game” her three girls played in, the biggest champion and supporter for her family, always there for her friends no matter what life has thrown her.
♥ Julie, though not yet a mama, is a wonderful and loyal friend, always there with rainbows and Harry Potter to make you smile.:-)
♥ Michelle, friend to many, always with an open door, speaking freely.
♥ Barb, caring for and encouraging my children and many others, as if they were her own, while providing for her own mama.
♥ My pal Farrah, talented beyond words when it comes to children and things that make them happy, which in turn makes their parents happy. 🙂
♥ My many Disney friends that include Gayle, Janice and Jackie, always willing to listen, to encourage, to help and to inspire. This list could include so many more Disney peeps.
Thank you to each and every one of you for instilling the values and traits I possess today that help make me a better person, a better friend, a better wife and a better mama. I love you all so very, very much. ♥ Happy Mama’s Day ♥

Hi Brenda, you are very welcome. As I started to write this post I had a direction in mind, but was not sure where it would end up. I am happy with the end result and have to say I was a bit emotional by the time I was done. I am very blessed to have your friendship and your family’s. Thank you for the kind words.
