Summer weather is here and on July 1st we will be celebrating Canada Day – our country’s 151st birthday. We usually spend the day with my parents at their retirement village. There is a parade that the kiddos often participate in, live entertainment, games and a barbecue! We always have hamburgers and hot dogs, salads, fresh fruit and popcorn. But the best part is the yummy red and white cake that is served for dessert.
