My family loves to watch movies so we were really excited about several fall releases from Disney. These great titles each bring their own brand of entertainment to the table and there is something here for every member of your movie-viewing family, I promise. We have the much loved classic, “Aladdin,” the futuristic “Tomorrowland” and finally my newest favourite and a recent release in theaters, “Inside Out!“
First up is the Disney classic “Aladdin” and this one has been brought back out as the Diamond Edition. This is the first time it is available on Blu-Ray and Digital HD and also includes never before seen Genie out-takes and more. The Digital HD code allows you to watch the movie on any of your devices, which is the perfect answer for road trips when the kiddos want to watch different movies. The Genie out-takes and Genie 101 were our favourite bonus features.
Climb aboard for a magical carpet ride with nonstop laughs, action-packed adventure and Academy Award®–winning music that will make your heart soar(1992: Best Music, Original Song, “A Whole New World,” Original Score). Now for the first time ever, a whole new world of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Aladdin is revealed in a whole new way on Blu-ray and Digital HD—with never-before-seen bonus! With the help of a hysterically funny, shape-shifting, 10,000-year-old Genie, street-smart commoner Aladdin, and clever and confident Princess Jasmine join forces against the evil sorcerer Jafar to put an end to his plans to take over the kingdom!
“Tomorrowland” is the next release and I have to admit that I really had no interest in seeing it, even though I adore George Clooney. 🙂 My kids had the DVD on recently and somehow I got sucked in. Am I ever glad that I did. This is a heartwarming story about dreams, reaching for your goals and never giving up. It will touch your heart, but also have you on the edge of your seat when you see what the future holds. 🙂 The new release also offers some great bonus features and comes in a Blu Ray combo pack. Perfect for gift giving this holiday season!
Dreamers Wanted…Disney invites you to an incredible world of epic imagination where anything is possible. Buckle your seat belt, as the director of The Incredibles takes your family on an action-packed thrill ride. Join former boy genius Frank (George Clooney), optimistic, science-minded teen Casey (Britt Robertson), mysterious Athena (Raffey Cassidy) and the brilliant David Nix (Hugh Laurie) in a world of pure Disney imagination. Tomorrowland transports you on an inspiring and magical journey of wonder and adventure to a place where if you can dream it, you can do it.
The final new release is “Inside Out” and I adore it. It’s kind of funny that I say that because I end up in a puddle of tears by the time it ends, but the tears are okay. You have to see it to know what I mean. (check out my review of the film here) “Inside Out” taps into the mind of 11 year old Riley as she goes through the biggest change her young life has ever seen. In true Disney Pixar fashion we are taken along on the roller coaster ride of emotions with Riley. The newly released DVD has all the great bonus features we love, but you will not want to miss the short film “Lava” that is included. Creative, innovative, heartwarming – it’s Disney at it’s finest.
Based in Headquarters, the control center inside 11-year-old Riley’s mind, five Emotions are hard at work, led by lighthearted optimist Joy (voice of Amy Poehler), whose mission is to make sure Riley stays happy. Fear (voice of Bill Hader) heads up safety, Anger (voice of Lewis Black) ensures all is fair and Disgust (voice of Mindy Kaling) prevents Riley from getting poisoned—both physically and socially. Sadness (voice of Phyllis Smith) isn’t exactly sure what her role is, and frankly, neither is anyone else.
Regardless of which movie you get you will not be disappointed. These new DVD releases will provide you with hours of entertainment so I would buy some popcorn and comfy. 🙂
Which of these three movies would you like to see the most?

I think the one I’d like to see the most is “Tomorrowland”, mainly because of George Clooney mainly, he’s a marvellous actor and so far I’ve loved all his films. 🙂
MapleMouseMama says
George does a really great job in this role and it is a little different from his others. Maybe because his co-star is a young girl who gives as good as she gets, LOL? It is worth a watch for sure.

Aladdin is a favorite in our for a long time too! We have not seen the other two though yet. We’ve been moving to another state & a little behind on our movies. 🙁 I haven’t heard much about Tomorrowland so I will definitely add that one to our list! 🙂

I loved Tomorrowland! Despite the reviews, I liked the theme of the movie about looking towards the future. Although the execution could have been better.
