Bat Donut Holes, the perfect Halloween treat. Tasty and oh so easy to make, err create. 🙂 Now that is my kind of “baking.” Never one to hide from the truth, most of you know by now that when it comes to the kitchen, I am not like Julia Child or The Cake Boss. More like Nicole Buyer from Nailed It! Hilarious show, by the way. Anywho, that is why I love this recipe for Bat Donut Holes. Give it try this Halloween. Easy enough that the kiddos can help make them. 🙂
Bat Donut Holes
Materials:
Chocolate donut holes (you could even use cake pops!)
Oreo cookies
Candy eyes
Icing
Instructions for Bat Donut Holes
1) Start with your chocolate donut holes or cake pops. You will want to make sure you have enough to feed your hungry gang. These are so good, you should have 2-3 per guest.
2) The next step is to split open the Oreo cookies. Once you pry the top of a cookie off, you just scrape off the cream filling, snap the cookie in half and these will form your bat wings!
3) Using a bit of the icing, attach the candy eyes to your bat donut holes. We used white icing, but you can really use whatever colour you want as the icing will not be seen.
4) Next, carefully insert your Oreo cookie bat wings into each side of your donut hole. Be very gentle so that you do not split the donut in half.
5) Place your sweet Bat Donut Holes on a tray, all ready to serve. 🙂
6) You can always adapt this little “recipe” for different seasons or events. Use white donut holes with the white Oreos or even switch them up!
