Need Child Friendly Nail Polish? Meet Suncoat Girl!

June 20, 2014 By: MapleMouseMama25 Comments

child friendly nail polishSummer is here and what does every gal love to do? Get a pedicure!  Better yet, get a matching mani/pedi so your fingers and your toes are ready for the sun.  I have been painting my nails for years and one activity my daughter has always loved is when we give each other manicures. The allure of the beautiful colours is hard for any little miss to ignore.  The problem with many polishes on the market are the harsh chemicals and nasty smells that accompany those shimmering shellacs. I have never been a fan of having that paint linger too long on my daughter’s little nails so I was really happy to learn about Suncoat Girl Nail Polish.

Suncoat Girl is a water based polish that is non-toxic and environmentally friendly.  The polish is not drying to your nail beds and will not discolour them. It is almost 100% odor free as well.  While Suncoat Girl does not have all those harsh chemicals it does have beautiful colours that all little girls will love.  Emily and I were given the opportunity to try out four different hues of Suncoat Girl from NailPolishCanada.com and this is what we chose:

  • Gorgeous Green
  • Sparkling Snow
  • Sunflower
  • Ballerina Beauty

child friendly nail polishAre these not adorable colours?  The whole line of Suncoat Girl shades are just charming and you will be tempted to try them out for yourself moms, I promise.  Emily and I spent some time painting each others nails ( and even my five year old son William got in on the act 🙂   ) and we had a blast.  The polish goes on smoothly, but you do need a couple of coats to get the depth of the colour just right.  The nice thing about Suncoat Girl is that no base coat is needed so you are just putting the water based paint on your child’s nails.  Who wouldn’t love that?

Easy to remove, just peel!!

Overall I think that Suncoat Girl is a wonderful product for the little gals and guys in your life.  You can play spa with them knowing that Suncoat Girl is safe to use.

That is really great that the polish can be peeled off instead of using acetone/nail polish remover to wipe it off!

I can’t say that I am a fan of putting nail polish on children but it is nice to know that there is a less harmful product for them.

Those colors are really pigmented, they look great! I also like how you can peel it off, that’s something for me (I can never find my remover, I actually have chipped polish right now).

Isn’t Suncoat Girl Polish amazing! My daughter loves how you can simply peel off the polish and start fresh. A Mani a day is her new motto.
