Many people are fortunate enough to take their good health and the good health of their children for granted. Oh sure we have problems that arise from time to time and some people even have chronic issues to deal with, but imagine those who live with the constant knowledge that their child may not live to graduate from high school, get married and have their own family. It is a very sad thought, but it does happen, for many families all the time. So imagine if you could help to make that child and their family “forget” about their problems, even for a short time. Help to create some memories that sustain the child through the tough times and stay with the family long after their child is gone.
That is where Give Kids The World comes in. This wonderful place is found in Central Florida and it is a magical village where children with life threatening illnesses and their families can go to have fun, eat ice cream and create therapeutic and ever lasting memories. How wonderful is that?! GKTW is a non profit organization that allows a family to have a week long vacation while staying at their beautiful and creative Village. Everything is covered, including tickets to area parks and attractions so that these families can make the most of their time together. GKTW brings hope and freedom, even for a few days and who wouldn’t want to be a part of that? These wonderful vacations are made possible from the generous donations of people like you and I. The Village is staffed by tons of volunteers who put their hearts into the time they spend there.
The Disney Moms Panel is now into it’s third year of raising money for GKTW and they are asking for our help. They have a very attainable goal of raising $15,000.00 by mid September 2012 and that is where you come in. All you need to do is make a donation at the link found here and you can rest assured your donation will go to help a child and their family create the memories they so deserve. To make it even easier to make this decision the Moms Panel has arranged to have prizes drawn for those who make a minimum contribution of just ten dollars! How cool is that?! For as little as ten dollars you could help make the dream of a terminally ill child come true just by donating to the Disney Fans Give Kids The World Fundraiser!!!
