So the latest and greatest colour for Destination Disney in Colour is SILVER and let me tell you, it is not an easy colour to find. You really have to work at it. But I have persevered and I think I have a pretty good line up for this week. Check them out and let me know what you think. When you are done drop by Heidi’s Head to see what everyone else has chosen for Silver and see if they match your choices.
Disney Silver Movie
The very first thing to pop into my head when I saw Silver on our list was Dumbo. I am not sure why, maybe the grey colour of said pachyderm, but this whole movie has the glow of Silver to it. I like to think it is the glow of love from Dumbo’s mama. 🙂
Now I am sure this will be a common choice, but I am making it anyway. The suit of amour in Cinderella’s Castle is pretty silver, don’t ya think?
My daughter and I had the best time at The Pirate’s League, just after it debuted in 2009. This pretty little Silver face jewel was part of the Empress package and Emily and I both had one. 🙂
Who doesn’t love a Hidden Mickey? These Silver ones adorned the beautiful bow found on our surprise Mickey Chocolate Bar Cake!
Back at Cinderella’s Castle you will receive these darling Wishing Stars when you dine as a guest of the princess herself. Well, the kids get them, but I managed to wish for and receive one to. 🙂
Love me some Disney balloons, especially when surrounded by them! These adorable Silver Minnie Mouse ones are just wonderful and so shiny!
A recent gift from my hubby and kids is this beautiful Mickey tennis bracelet. Isn’t is adorable?!! 🙂
Last, but not least, one of my most favorite Disney souvenirs, to date, are the earrings I wear everyday. I have had them for several years and LOVE them!
Don’t forget to tell me what you think of my choices and share yours! Then visit Heidi’s Head to see some other great Silver ideas via Destination Disney in Colour! Thanks for joining us!

Great silvers this week – especially since you thought you couldn’t find them. I love your jewelry. I’m not a big jewelry person, but I did get 2 pairs of Mickey earrings on our last trip (they were marked down to $3.99 each at the gift shop in Caribbean Beach (and they just so happened to have my 2 favorites colors – purple and turquoise). Come to think of it, I should have featured them last week, huh?

LOL, thanks Heidi. 🙂 Sounds like a good deal on the sale earrings. Gotta love a good bargain 🙂

They have some great silver Chamilia bead charms, too! I bought 2 on the Disney Cruise in May & they are my favorites! 🙂 Fun blog topic!
MapleMouseMama says
Thanks Michelle and welcome! I love the look of the Chamilia beads, but have never bought any. Are they very expensive? Do you buy the bracelet and then add the beads as you go along? Thanks for checking out the post, I appreciate it. I am off to your blog right now 🙂

I bought the bracelet on the ship with my Disney dollars (from years of credit card points I’ve gathered!)… Regardless, I surprisingly saved about $50 buying on the ship. That was my 1st cruise – my mum said that is the best place to buy jewelry – who’da thunk it on a Disney cruise! 🙂 So you buy the bracelet & get a bead or 2 (or more if you have the funds), then the 2 little [optional] locking guys so the beads don’t slide around. I wanted to fill my bracelet while I save up for more of the fancier beads (they were starting around US$30) – so I went to Michael’s (a local craft store – can’t remember if you have those up there) – and bought some beautiful glass & silver beads to fill the bracelet for less than $35 in the meantime. They look nice with just 1 or a few beads, too. I love mine!

What a great idea Michelle! Buy the bracelet and put less costly beads on while saving for the rest. That makes perfect sense and I am sure it looks amazing! We do have Michael’s up here 🙂 I had not thought of them carrying the beads, but I guess it makes sense since people make their own jewellery 🙂 Some day I will get on a Disney cruise and check those babies out 🙂
