**Please note this giveaway has ended**

Now that summer has officially arrived it is time to kick your outdoor activity planning into high gear! In Canada our seasons tend to rip us off a bit, leaving us with too short a summer and too long of a winter, so you really need to maximize those outdoor hours as best you can. One way to do that is to spend a day or two visiting some of the beautiful places our country has to offer. One of those great areas in Southern Ontario is Scenic Caves Nature Adventures, located a short distance from Collingwood, Ontario.

“Nature, history, scenery and adventure await your family at Scenic Caves Nature Adventures, a designated Canadian Signature Experience. Explore a self-guided trail of caves, caverns and crevasses carved millions of years ago by glacial ice and savour the breathtaking lookouts from the highest point of the Niagara Escarpment, set in one of Canada’s sixteen UNESCO biosphere reserves.  Learn about the First Nations’ Huron Petun tribe as you discover the mysterious places and hidden natural fortress which sheltered the native people from their enemies.  Venture over Southern Ontario’s longest 420ft. Suspension Footbridge which offers spectacular views of Georgian Bay and the surrounding countryside. Play an 18-hole round of mini-golf.  Additional features:  Children’s Adventure Playground, Rocky the Train, country tractor-wagon ride, trout pond, picnic areas, snack bar and gift shop. Open daily, including holidays.”

As you can see there is literally something to do for every member of your family at the Scenic Caves Nature Adventure. While summer is just about the best time of year to visit, in my humble opinion. when you are thinking ahead to the snowy season, remember that Scenic Caves is open year round! You kiddos can even host a birthday party there!

Our list is pretty long, but some highlights will be going up to muskoka for a few days, day trips to wasaga, hiking at rattlesnake point, wonderland, and the Ex. We also like to get to the zoo every summer, and the kids have been asking to go to the CN tower and their new aquarium. Should be a fun summer!

Unfortunately I’ll be stuck in the office during the summer months – but my girls will be attending a variety of day camps. We’ll make the most of summer weekends though and some time off to spend time as a family. Already checked since the warm weather hit…Wonderland x2, Center Island, The Toronto Zoo tomorrow. We love to make the most of the beautiful weather and all that Ontario has to offer.
