Well here,s a story on being brave at giving birth as well. When i had my son Chris 17 years ago i had gone into labor at the early morning hours and well i had asked my father in law to take me to the doctor,s cause of the pains i was having the family doc said ok your fairly close so go home and when thing,s change be back to the hospital A.s.a.p. so i did as he asked me to inclueding calling my husband home from work that day.So Steve just pretty much got home and was home lets say maybe 10 min and my plug breaks so it was time to fleee to the hospital. we get there doc says ok are you ready for this and i said lets do this in the mean time Steve my husband was playing football with me as he would say. He was like Hut 1 hut 2 hike it… Mean time i,m in pain and it,s time to push this kid out and the doc says here take some gas from the gas mask i said no just get this kid out of me so while i was pushing Chris wanted to come out side ways and face up so while i,m in pain the doc turns the baby into the right position and well lets say i delivered my son all natural with all those complication,s and brave it to the fullest and it was one of the best days of my life cause i got to meet my son with in 8 to 10 hours of labour.
MapleMouseMama says
Thanks Janet! Definitely a “brave” story and even more so since you went on to have another child 🙂

Haylie L says
My moment of braveness(is that a word? lol) came 8 years ago when I moved across country from NB, where I was born and raise and all my family and friends were, to AB. I knew absolutely no one here, and I flew with my 10 month old daughter and my soon to be mother in law, who I had met only twice before. My fiance was driving the truck with his dad that had all of our belongings, so I didn’t see him for 4-5 days afterwards. I was severely homesick for a long time, and i still have my moments.
MapleMouseMama says
Wow Haylie, that is BRAVE! Good for you though, what a character building experience that would be! Thanks for playing along and good luck!

MapleMouseMama says

Can’t wait for brave! My oldest daughter love archery so it’s right up her aisle.. We’re currently planning out first trip to Disney I would probably use this money towards that 🙂 brave moments well I agree with giving birth for sure..but I’ll do a new one going zip lining in costa rica! It was amazing and terrifying all at the same time!
MapleMouseMama says
Wow Elisa, zip lining is huge! Definitely a BRAVE moment in my book 🙂 How cool that your daughter loves archery. I have a feeling that summer classes will become very popular after this movie debuts 🙂

I think I was brave when I chose to have a third child. I’d always wanted three but after having my daughter and then my son, I thought two was great! But I couldn’t get the third out of my head, so we went for it! After having my youngest son (who’s now 19 months), yes things are crazy with three and it changes the whole dynamic but I wouldn’t change it for anything! The $100 gift card would definitely come in handy for this summer!
MapleMouseMama says
Wow, three? You are BRAVE!! But I think a large family is pretty great so good for you for “going for it”! I have only one sister, but always wanted more sibs. I think your kids are blessed to have each other.
Good luck with the giveaway. I have only two kiddos, but I can certainly see how this prize would come in handy 🙂

I think I was so brave when I chose to have a third child! Yes, things are hectic and the third changes the whole family dynamic but I wouldn’t change it for the world!
The $100 gift card would come in very handy for this upcoming summer!

Double the fun!!

I think starting my own photography business while being the mother of 2 young kids was pretty brave (and somewhat crazy). But 5 years later it has been an awesome success and I am so happy I chose this course. Leaving a job that paid great and always the same amount each week was a big change..but i’m happy at what i do and it’s hard to call it work most days. Now to convince my husband that adding a third baby to the mix would be Waaaay too brave of me 😉
We have a Disney tin that we save up our extra ‘found’ money for a trip to Disney and $100 would be an amazing addition to that.
thanks.
MapleMouseMama says
Wow, that is definitely a Brave thing to do! Any time you leave the security you know for the unknown it can be so daunting. Good for you! Good luck with the draw 🙂

Melissa L says
I’m being brave right now, and just resigned from one job to be trained in a new job that I hope I ‘ll love, despite lower pay and longer hours…teaching my 2 daughters that doing what you love is the most important thing and that stepping out on your own to try something new takes bravery. We love Merida, and met her and got photos with her at Magic Kingdom and drew her face in the Art of Animation class at Hollywood studios last week. Can’t wait to see the movie, which I’d use the gift card to take my family to see.
MapleMouseMama says
Fantastic Melissa, that is very Brave. Good luck with the new job; I hope you love it!! Your daughters must be very proud °0°

Joelle D says
I had a terrible flight from Italy back to the Us in 1997. I kept me from flying for 13 years! i didnt even fly for my honeymoon. When my mother in law beat cancer she wanted to take the whole family to Disney. I didnt want my children to miss out on this fantastic vacation that was wonderful and meaningful for so many reasons. I went to hypnosis for 3 months to get me on that plane. I sat and silently cried in another row so my children wouldnt know that I was suffering. I dont want to hold my children back because of my fears. I want them to live and experience life. It was incredibly scary for me but I tell my children that being brave doesnt mean your not scared. Being brave means that even though your scared you do it anyway!
MapleMouseMama says
Thank you for sharing that Joelle, I can only imagine what you must have gone through. You are an awesome mom for putting your kids first and conquering your fears!
Brave, yes you are!! Good luck!

My best friend Jasmine was BRAVE when she fought against Lukemia. I could never possibly be as brave as she was, even though she lost, she’s my hero.

Love, Aunt Suzanne 🙂
Lee says
I feel I was brave when I attempted to have a second child. My first daughter passed away from a serious heart defect when she was thirteen days old. Afterwards, I was terrified to have another baby, convinced I would have a miscarriage or stillborn, or worse , bury another infant . It took everything in me to go through genetic counseling, attend bereavement counseling, and eventually get the strength to try again. I am now the mother to two healthy princesses and one angel princess in heaven.
MapleMouseMama says
Wow Lee, that really took a lot of courage. God bless you and your sweet family. You will always have a special angel watching over you.
Good luck, suz
