Breathe Easy Canada While The #DysonHumidifier Delivers Hygienic Humidification To Your Home

dyson humidifier

When my son was born it became evident fairly quickly that he had baby eczema. We had occasionally used a humidifier in the house prior to his birth, but the outbreak of those itchy, red welts on his tiny face had us reevaluating the one we owned. We spent a few bucks and bought a pretty fancy one that we figured was doing the job. Then why was William’s eczema getting worse? What started as baby eczema is still around, seven years later and while I don’t blame the humidifier we had for this nasty skin problem, it sure as heck didn’t help. And now, I think I know why.

Bacteria. Bacteria in the water.

It wasn’t until I was recently introduced to the Dyson Humidifier that I found out that most other humidifiers on the market are really a little swimming pool in your home, producing bacteria and spreading it all over the place. Can you imagine the germs you are breathing in? Germs that can exacerbate cold or allergy symptoms, make eczema prone skin even more susceptible to outbreaks of dry, itchy patches and essentially make it almost impossible to truly feel 100% healthy.

The Dyson Humidifier uses Ultraviolet Cleanse technology to kill 99.9% of the bacteria in the water, before the humidifier actually does it’s assigned job, which is to provide hygienic humidification to your home. The Dyson Humidifier than projects that clean, hydrated air throughout your home evenly, thanks to the patented Dyson Air Multiplier™ technology.  I love that this is all done without the use of blades, making this machine safe for children to be around. It is perfect for a nursery, child’s bedroom or just about anywhere else in the house. Another nifty attribute of the Dyson Humidifier is the ability to measure both the temperature and moisture in the air to create a comfortable environment. This is done with it’s Intelligent Climate Control feature.

And for this menopausal mama perhaps my favourite component is that the Dyson Humidifier doubles as a fan, shooting a nice, cool breeze into the room, all while making the air I and my family are breathing in, clean and healthy. Oh, and did I mention it has a remote?! 🙂 I think that is my hubby’s personal favourite feature. 😉 One full tank of water will allow your humidifier to run for up to 18 hours, but it has a built-in sleep timer for automatic shut-off.

One thing that is common in many households, mine included, is the presence of asthma. My son has it and needs to keep a puffer on him at all times. It was great to see that the Dyson Humidifier is the first of it’s kind to receive the asthma and allergy friendly ™ Certification from the Asthma Society of Canada. That is music to this mama’s ears.

Dyson is known for having quality products that are designed to help keep your home environment comfortable and clean and I think they have achieved that with the Dyson Humidifier. It is a little on the expensive side at $599, but it is a fantastic investment in your family’s health. It is now available for purchase on the Dyson Canada website and will be in stores next month.

We are using our Dyson Humidifier to hydrate our skin before the dry winter months hit. What would you use one for?

Sounds wonderful, thanks for sharing. I use a humidifier nightly but it doesn’t even compare to the Dyson.

I need this ASAP! Our home air is dry. I have humidifiers in our home, but I don’t really like to use them because I’m afraid of germs or mold that they may be harboring. Dyson products have always worked well for us and i’m sure this one is no different!
