Creating unique designs with sea glass began as a hobby for Ellen when she would take daily walks along the seashore near her home. The rare and beautiful pieces Ellen collected would be stored in mason jars for her own private enjoyment. Years later, when teaching her Kindergarten students to paint sea shells as gifts, inspiration struck and C-Glass Designs by ellen was born. The idea of using natural elements to create one of a kind accessories grew to include pairing gems from the sea with silver and gold accents.
Ellen has since created several collections like her Disney inspired “Spring: Dreams Come True Collection” and the nautical “Summer: Under The Sea Collection.” Many of the pieces of sea glass come from Hawaii or Puerto Rico, which adds a different flavour to these treasures. Ellen’s newest grouping is called the “Warm Hugs Collection.” This latest portfolio is comprised of wire wrapped sea glass from Ellen’s own hometown beach in New Jersey. Ellen’s beautiful bracelets, necklaces and earrings use a variety of braided leather cords, silver or gold plate and sterling silver wires and chains.
