Candles Inspired By Magic At West Wind Candle Co

When I first learned about West Wind Candle Co I was intrigued by the description, “Hand poured candles inspired by Magic.” Those who know me know I have a passion for a certain magical place and as it turns out, so does the creator behind West Wind Candle! The magic that inspires the beautiful scents that waft from the melting wax is from none other than our beloved Disney! ♥

When it comes to candles I am very picky. We don’t use them that much at home so when I do I want to know that I have a quality product that smells good, looks pretty and burns well.  West Wind Candle ticks all of those boxes and than some. On top of getting a product that reminds one of vacations in warm places with magical characters, West Wind Candle is a Canadian company! That means when you purchase from them not only are you supporting a small business (found on Etsy) you are encouraging the growth and development of a Canadian enterprise. It is a win for everyone. 🙂

What Sets West Wind Candle Co Apart?

Let’s face it, if you want to buy a candle you can pick them up from the dollar store. Even the big box places have bulk tea lights on hand. What sets West Wind Candle apart from these other places is not only the heavenly scents their candles come in, but the gorgeous colours and names of the products. Take for example the beautiful sort of sea-foam green candle below. It looks almost edible; sort of soft and smooth, like water taffy. Call me crazy, but it is a feel good shade that reminds me of mornings in Orlando so it’s name, “Wake Up & Rope Drop” is totally appropriate! And you do not have to be a fan of Disney to love how it smells. Shop owner Liz tells me that this scent was inspired by the bath and body products found in the Disney Parks resorts. Sigh, it takes me right back there…♥

Dole Whips & Churros?

If you are a fan of Disney than you probably know what a Dole Whip is. And churros are pretty self-explanatory. Special edible treats are part of the charm of Disney and West Wind Candle has not forgotten that. They have generously sent me their Magical Mix Tealight Pack which features all of their current scents. Aloe and Green Clover (Blue) is inspired by the Deluxe Resort Lobbies, Pineapple Swirl (Yellow) which is inspired by Dole Whips, Confectionery Sweets (Pink) which is inspired by the Main Street Confectionery, Churro Cart (Tan) is inspired by Churros, Have a Bite (Red) is inspired by Snow White. And than, Wake-up and Rope Drop. A delightful (pun intended 🙂 ) collection that instantly lifted my spirits the moment I put flame to wick.
