Dental Dilemmas Got You Down? Turn That Frown Upside Down With @Crest #HealthyRoutines

June 28, 2016 By: MapleMouseMama26 Comments

As a parent I have tried to keep certain worries I have under wraps, so my children don’t adopt those same concerns. Things like earthquakes and other natural disasters have been easy, but hiding my fear of the dentist has been a challenge.  Why so hard, you might be wondering? Because going to the dentist causes me to sweat, to get very pale and generally feel like fainting. Yes, it is that serious. Up until my late twenties I faced the dentist with carefree abandon, knowing I had done everything within my power to keep my oral health in check, but a long illness took that all away. With what seemed like almost overnight the hard work I had put into keeping my teeth clean was wiped, well, clean!

Many years later I still struggle to regain that healthy smile, but I was recently introduced to an innovative new brushing style that might just be a game changer for me. Crest Pro-Health HD  is the biggest breakthrough in toothpaste since fluoride, because the two-step process isolates key ingredients so that they can perform at their very best for you. The key to success is in these two steps:

Step One –  The Purifying Cleanser is used for one minute of brushing. This anti-plaque and anti-gingivitis paste helps improve gum health by treating gingivitis.

Step Two – The Perfecting Gel is used during the second minute of brushing and it is a whitening gel.

One important thing to note is this; after brushing for the first minute with Step 1, you will spit, but DO NOT RINSE out your mouth. Just carry on with Step 2, brush for a minute and then you can finally rinse. Trust me, the end result will make this slight modification in your routine worth it.

While great oral health has always been a top priority for me, I just figured that having a whiter smile would always take a back seat, but with Crest Pro-Health HD , I don’t have to choose one over the other. After using this system for a few days, I have found that my teeth feel as clean as a whistle and dare I say it, like I have just been to the dentist! Call me crazy, but I like having that slick, fresh feeling in my mouth without sweating or passing out before hand. 🙂

Having the consequences of a long illness be to rob me of my great oral health, therefore confidence in my smile, I know how important good oral hygiene really is. You never know when something unexpected will lead to a dental dilemma, whether it be bad breath, cavities or even gum disease. Using a good daily system like Crest Pro-Health HD will help you to establish those #HealthyRoutines that will keep you smiling from ear to ear. 🙂 Please note that this product is not for children and should only be used for adults.

Great news for our Canadian readers: Crest Pro-Health HD  is widely available in Canada so you can start to create your own #HealthyRoutines any time. Check out Crest on Twitter and Facebook to keep up with the latest information.

Do you have any dental dilemmas or fears? What are you doing to overcome these?

I’ve always hated going to the dentist, I used to have to sit on my hands so that I didn’t do anything stupid. They have caused me so much pain – crowns done without anaesthetic due to being pregnant at the time, he tried some herbal stuff instead that he injected which sent my heart racing terribly fast. A molar extracted but the anaesthetic didn’t work due to an infection – pain upon pain.

I have to be very conscious about how I speak about dentist visits too. I don’t want my kids to have the sad fear I’ve had.

I’m all for trying new toothpastes especially those that claim to help with whitening teeth. I am very intrigued with this product. I can’t wait to try it after I finish all the tubes of toothpaste we have stocked up on.

I do not like getting the freezing but once it’s done then I start to relax. I like this new product and that it makes you feel like you’ve just had your teeth cleaned professionally.

I need to give these a try. I used to be fine with going to the dentist but now, I have anxiety when I go. When I’m in the chair I get really nervous and have to sit up sometimes. So embarrassing. I still go every 6 months but I get anxious every time.
