Well, I tell ya, you bring anything related to Disney Princesses into this house and both my daughter and I are hooked. It does not matter how old that princess is, we fall under her spell. The exception this time was that young William also enjoyed watching the sweet little seven year old commoner, Sofia, become a princess and learn how to be a royal. This charming tale from Disney introduces us to a young girl destined to not only meet, but follow in the footsteps of some of our beloved classic princesses like Cinderella, Belle and Snow White! I think one of the coolest features is that Sofia and her fellow classmates all attend Royal Prep and are taught by none other then those mischievous fairy sisters, Flora, Fauna and Merryweather!! Neat, huh?
September brought us the release of Sofia the First: Ready to be a Princess on DVD. This movie has several great episodes to watch with your young ‘uns and even includes an adorable play dress up set, reminiscent of paper dolls. My ten year old was on that right away, changing Sofia’s look with each new show. I have to say that, as a mama, I love how Disney truly lets my kids just be kids. No matter the show, their imaginations are sparked and the creativity flies! Yes, I got all that and more from Sofia the First: Ready to be a Princess!
Here is a recap of what you can expect from this great movie:
