Flex Your Imagination With Flexo Bricks

September 19, 2019 By: MapleMouseMama5 Comments

Give my children something to build and you will keep them busy for hours. Hours! Which is why we love Flexo! Have your kiddos tried out Flexo Bricks yet? It is the world’s only flexible brick system! When my son got his hands on a Flexo kit recently, he disappeared into the family room and did not surface for over two hours! I was pleasantly surprised at how well this construction set held his attention and you will be too.

Flexo Bricks

Designed to inspire creativity while allowing a level of functional buildability and playability, Flexo is a line of flexible construction pieces that bend, bounce, twist, flex and wrap. The makers of Flexo use a unique rigid construction brick and flexible tendon that assists in refining and maturing a child’s fine motor skills, cognitive reasoning and logic; it also helps their spatial awareness, teaches them to problem solve and develops their imagination.

Flexo PlaySets

Flexo comes in play sets that are age-specific, however you don’t have to let that limit your child. Starting with the Foil Packs, these sets are recommended for ages 4 and up. Your little one will be surprised to see their build come to life as a bracelet, a key-chain or even a little friend to play with.

Next up is the Builder and Inventor Sets, which are suggested for those who are ages six or older. My ten year old son had fun playing with one of the Inventor Sets, which is what he started out on. It kept him entertained for so long I felt sure he had switched to playing with something else, but no, he was creating with Flexo Bricks the whole time!

The other option from Flexo is the Ocean Life Theme sets. These have a slightly older age guideline, with the recommended age being 7 and up. While that is really not much difference from the Inventor or Builder age, my son did find this one harder to work with. He ended up getting frustrated with it and asked his older sister to finish it.  I do think part of the issue was that the small pieces were getting to him, but that did not bother my daughter as she was more than happy to take over. 🙂 Even though she is sixteen, toys that require attention to detail and effort are something she enjoys doing and the end result was great!

Flexo If you are looking for a creative outlet for your youngsters, I suggest giving Flexo Bricks a try. There are several options of play sets to choose from and these are guaranteed to keep your child entertained for quite awhile.  Mom and Dad might even want to get in on the action. 🙂

Do your kiddos like to play with toys that require concentration and a lot of building? You might like to check out this awesome Playmobil set for a gift giving idea!
