Taking off on a Mars Mission in your own rocket ship is probably the dream of every child at one point and my son is no different. He has a wonderful imagination and it has seen him creating his own missions that have him heading into space at least once a month! A couple of years ago he even made his own space helmet out of a cardboard box, complete with plastic wrap for the face cover. It lasted a long time before heading off to recycle heaven.
Luckily William’s curiosity was piqued by making his own space gear and his love for rockets has only continued to grow. When we received the Mission Rocket With Launch Site for the Playmobil Mars Mission set, he was so excited! Just when you think your children are starting to outgrow toys, they surprise you. Even my teen wanted to help put it together. 🙂 Since it was raining out, this afternoon was the perfect time to do it. And the latest Mars Mission preparations began.
Playmobil Toy System
One of the great things about Playmobil is the variety of worlds they have created. A child can be a pirate one day and an astronaut the next. With approximately 40 different play themes available, the only limit to creative play is your imagination. As an added bonus, Playmobil playsets include a building component so it is not all play and no work for your kiddos. They are actually learning when they build their worlds. 🙂

When it comes to themes, Playmobil has it covered and the Space theme playsets are among the best. Just ask my son. 🙂 William has always loved rockets. I’ll let you in on a little secret; his middle name starts with an R and he has been telling people for years that it is Rocket. It’s not. 🙂 But that just makes the Mission Rocket with Launch Site even more special. The rocket comes with working lights and sounds and a cool maintenance platform. It can seat up to two astronauts in the rocket’s cockpit ’cause everyone needs a space buddy! And the transport container and space capsule actually separate from the rocket. There are other sets that can be added to it, like the Mars Space Station or the Mars Rover. The beauty of Playmobil is that they will all fit and work together for added entertainment.
So whether you want to help fuel your child’s imagination or just make play time a lot more fun (and just think – no screens needed for this kind of interactive play,) think of Playmobil the next time you go shopping. That is so cool! My kids weren’t really into things like that and my granddaughters are very girly into other things like dolls, which I never played with. When I would buy the boys toys like this, I always ended up playing with them… Lol

There is so much creative play with Playmobil.
Children have such a lot of fun with Playmobil and they have certainly branched out a lot since the days, many years ago, when my kids were children.
