Who here doesn’t love Amazon? I have to admit I am a big fan of clicking that “add to cart” button. I get a thrill when I check in on my cart every few days and find all my faves are still there! Let face it, it has been a tough year for us all and according to, well, just about everyone I know, online shopping has helped ease the pain of lockdowns and quarantines and even social distancing. It’s hard to enjoy a trip to the mall when you can’t hang with some friends or watch your teenager try on everything. But when you love Amazon, all that fades as you wait for those brown boxes to arrive.

Ontario Reopens 🙂

Summer is almost officially here, but thankfully the weather is saying “to heck with what the calendar says, let’s hit the beach!” With all of this gorgeous sunshine and unrelenting heat (this menopausal mama doesn’t love the heat as much as I love Amazon, 🙂  ) I need to stock up on things like sunscreen, cute cups for the deck, a new book or two and oh man, the youngest of my two is in need of some shorts. Even though the province of Ontario is starting to reopen, which is amazing, most retailers can only allow a certain percentage of customers in their stores. Just today, the first day of Step 1, the line-ups snaking around Winners and Dollerama stores were insane! I don’t know about you, but I would rather be sipping something cool on the deck while reading a new book, then standing in a very long line waiting to buy some essentials.

That is why I love Amazon so much; no pesky line-ups in the sweltering heat. You can place your order one day and often have it in hand the next. That is worth a few hours of my time any day. And let’s face it, you will not find the selection that Amazon has anywhere else! You need to buy a new bathtub mat? When I checked Amazon just now, they had 10,000 plus items found and the least expensive started at $2.35 and that’s in Canadian! If you have Prime, the shipping is free! What a steal!     I’d put it towards a projector to watch movies outside. We are really missing going to the movies and this would be great.

    I would like to have a sleeping bag and a portable air mattress to go “Glamping”, but my tight budget won’t allow it. Amazon has some that look nice, and under $100.
