Mother’s Day is almost upon us and while this can be a very emotional day of celebration for many it also calls to mind the not so pleasant aspects of pregnancy. Don’t get me wrong; I loved being pregnant. Well, mostly. My husband and I are very fortunate that God gave us two beautiful, healthy children, but pregnancy is a time in one’s life that can not truly be understood unless you have walked those miles with your swollen ankles. It’s all about the good, the bad and yes, even the ugly.
I can recall being very excited through much of my nine months, but with both pregnancies I had morning sickness. The first time at bat it wasn’t too bad. Even though at the time I did not feel it, I really lucked out. But that was more than made up for with pregnancy #2. I was sick all the time, morning, noon and night. I carried plastic bags in my purse and had a puke bucket in the car. And it got used – A LOT! Sometimes when I feel like strolling down memory lane I will point out to my kids the places on the side of the road where I had pulled over to be sick. I have joked with my husband that we should set up Geo-cashes at these places and send the kids out to find their presents on their birthdays. I have to keep those memories alive after all.
Weight gain and backaches aside, one of the best memories from each of my pregnancies is when I heard my child’s heart beat for the first time. Both times it was the same – I cried like the baby growing inside me. It was truly a moment unlike anything I had ever felt in my life. What I didn’t know at the time was that holding my newborn for the very first time, skin to skin, would rival that feeling. ♥
Then there is the attention that is paid to an expectant mama. It seems that everyone wants to touch, pat and even rub a pregnant gal’s belly! I like to think that it is the promise of new life, the idea that one gets to start everything fresh and new, that makes people want to be a part of it all. It never bothered me when friends would reach out to caress my growing tummy because I always felt the love that this gesture came with. That said I always ask permission before touching the pregnant bellies I come across now.
We all know that being pregnant brings a lot of physical changes to one’s body. Stretch marks appear on our skin, our breasts grow as if we were entering puberty and some will endure tooth erosion if morning sickness is prolonged and frequent. Then there’s hemorrhoids, the pregnant lady’s best kept secret and a huge pain in the derriere. Hemorrhoids are inflamed or swollen veins in your lower rectum and anus. Yup, that part of your butt. They are often caused by the pressure from a growing uterus and the increase in blood flow to the pelvic area. Constipation is another culprit as is the actual delivery of your baby. Oi, what we mamas have to put up with! Hemorrhoids are itchy and uncomfortable at best, but they can be very painful and cause bleeding as well. My doctor suggested drinking more water and increasing my fiber intake to help ease the symptoms from hemorrhoids, but often more help is required. That’s where HemoClin comes in.
HemoClin is a revolutionary product that is set on easing butt hurt for those dealing with hemorrhoid pain or anal discomfort. This is achieved with a patented 2QR complex Bio-Active blocker derived from the Aloe Vera plant that works with the body’s natural bacteria.
Pregnancy should be a time of joy and happiness so to help you get back to that, or just ease your butt pain if hemorrhoids are a part of your life HemoClin wants to offer even more relief with our #HemoclinComfortKit giveaway!
