Have you ever planned a vacation, booked a hotel and then once there found it was not nearly as great as the brochure made it appear?  Yes, there are some pretty great places to stay, but I have had my share of well, dumps, to put it mildly.  There is one way for sure that you can avoid the nasty surprise of an old hotel that has not been modernized ( read 70’s shag carpet and bedside tables that don’t exactly reach the floor) and that is to book a Vacation Home.  Mickey’s Garden Villa is a newly acquired villa that is pure luxury for an affordable price and the best part is it is mere minutes from my Happy Place, Walt Disney World, which means it is not far from all the other great places to visit in Florida.

Michelle and Toby, the new owners of Mickey’s Garden Villa, recently spent some time at their Vacation Home, updating it and making it the perfect place for your family to stay while on vacation.  Actually it is the perfect place for your family and a couple of other families as this gorgeous villa has six bedrooms and 3.5 baths!  The list of amenities is extensive and can all be viewed HERE, but let me share a few to pique your interest.  Mickey’s Garden Villa is in a gated community with a lovely clubhouse, cinema, fitness room, basketball and tennis courts, a pool, kiddie pool and hot tub and the very necessary convenience store.   The list of niceties for this community goes on and on..

The villa itself has been completely refurnished with themed bedrooms, a games room, complete laundry facilities with full size washer and dryer and living room filled with a large, flat screen TV, DVD player and movies and even a Wii!  The piece de resistance is the pool.  Mickey’s Garden Villa has a private backyard oasis with a pool, waterfall area and spa!  The lanai is screened in to keep out the bugs and has a child security fence for the pool.  Unlike some hotels that say their pool is heated, Mickey’s Garden Villa delivers on that promise.  Not only can you heat the pool in the cooler months, but there is also lighting for those midnight skinny dips!  Oh, and did I mention there is free WiFi and free long distance calling.  Your family is not going to want to leave!

So now that you have read a bit about Mickey’s Garden Villa the next step is to visit their website HERE.  You will find all the information you need, plus be able to contact Michelle and Toby to book this beautiful home away from home.  I promise that one look and you will be hooked.  You will never have to worry about yucky hotel rooms that smell like feet (someone else’s feet too boot!) and hair in the drain ( gross I know 🙁 ).

Here is a testimonial from a recent guest of Mickey’s Garden Villa:

“It was nice to have the security of a gated community for our stay. The villa had plenty of room to accommodate everyone in our party, and the pantry was large enough to hold all of the food and drinks that we had brought for the week. It was convenient to have TVs and ceiling fans in all of the bedrooms, a barbecue grill on the lanai, and free Wi-Fi access. We really enjoyed having the pool right there at the house for the kids, and we appreciated having the fence to be able to close off the pool from the rest of the lanai when needed. It was especially nice having the entire lanai/pool area enclosed by a screen (to keep out bothersome insects) and having the hedges around the pool (to provide some privacy from the other nearby villas). Also, the property owners (Michelle and Toby) were very nice. On one day during our stay, the property owners called us to see if there were any problems with our stay, and it turned out that the front door lock had malfunctioned that very day so that the door could only be opened from the inside – we mentioned that to the property owners, and they contacted someone to come and fix the problem, and the lock was fixed that same day. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay at this villa. We would definitely stay here in the future.”

When is your most favorite time of the year to visit Florida?

This looks like an awesome place to stay! I keep telling my hubby we need to get rental property near Disney. He laughed and said, “you would never come home!”
Have a magical day my friend!

What a great idea for a family reunion….well smaller family I guess! 🙂 Sex bedrooms and all of the extras mentioned would make that place perfect for all age groups! Sounds wonderful, Suzanne! Thanks for sharing! 🙂

It is a great place Gem and the prices can not be beat. Yes, a family reunion or part of it anyway, would all fit. Maybe we need to look at this closer, HUH?
