I have to admit, it has been a long time since I have had the chance to watch the Disney classic, Pinocchio. It is the movie of my childhood, one put away in a safe space in the corner of my mind. Remembered fondly from time to time and definitely not forgotten. In fact, some of my favourite characters come from Pinocchio, like Jiminy Cricket and Figaro, the pet cat of Geppetto and Pinocchio.( I have a soft spot for kitty cats. ♥) But, it has not been a movie we have watched often. Thankfully, that is about to change. 🙂

This week the Pinocchio Signature Collection was released on Blu-ray and Digital HD – just in time for movie night this weekend! How exciting is that?! With the old school style of animation, the best original song “When You Wish Upon A Star” and a handful of life lessons every child should learn, this movie is chock full of goodness, one that the whole family can enjoy and relate to.

    I haven’t watched this movie in years and I can’t recall the name of the “father” , but he’s my favorite character as all he wanted was someone to love

    Pinocchio is another one of my favourites that I watched together with my children in the late 70s.
