Photography Fun With Fujifilm’s Instax Mini 8 Instant Camera #Giveaway

One of the hottest items on every tween, teen and many adults wish list this year is the Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 Instant Camera.  I should know because my own tween has been “reminding” me of it’s awesomeness for months now.  I was thrilled to no end to hook up with Fujifilm to learn first hand about this great camera.  If you have been paying attention these past few years the instant camera has evolved and the Instax Mini 8 is the proof.  In this age of selfies how cool would it be to have your photo in your hand mere moments after you have taken it, rather then just viewing it on your phone? As my Emily has expressed to me multiple times the whole point is to share them “instantly Mom” with your friends, decorate your locker at school or plaster your mirror and bedroom walls with these dynamite mini photos! It really is pretty cool. 🙂

Emily and I got to try out the Instax Mini 8 Instant Camera and see first hand how much fun it is! One of the things I love about it is the size.  Too many “mini” cameras are too, well, mini for me.  They are no larger than my debit card which means they are easy to lose.  They are also hard to take photos with because there is nothing to hold onto! The Instax Mini 8 is a compact size that is lightweight, easy to hold and comes with a carrying strap.  It has an Auto Flash and is Focus Free allowing you to take vibrant pictures even in low lighting.  The Instax Mini 8 has a Brightness Adjustment Dial which automatically chooses the most suitable setting, and brightness, by lighting the corresponding mode (Indoors, Cloudy, Sunny, Very Sunny).  It has an Electronic Shutter speed of 1/60 sec which means you won’t miss a thing. Every moment is captured in an instant!

Add in things like the superior quality Fujinon lens and built in electronic lens cover (it opens and closes as the camera is turned on or off) and you are already ahead of the game with the Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 Instant Camera.  But that’s not it! The camera is so easy to use, with the simple push of a couple of buttons to power it up and actually take your shot.  The fun continues once your photo is taken because then you get to watch it be developed! My son was in awe of this process. 🙂 From lining up our photo until it was completely developed was less than two minutes.  You could create your own art exhibit in less than an hour!

As you can see the photos that are produced are about the size of a credit card; perfect for just about anything! I like Emily’s idea of sharing them with her friends, on the spot.  Instant memories to take home and display.  You can use them in scrapbooks, clip them to the fridge or prop one in your car’s visor.  I have some taped around my monitor at work so the kid’s smiling faces are always looking at me.  The convenience of having my photo in my hand within minutes of taking it is what has been missing in the age of the digital camera.  Admit it, you never print off your photos do you?  I know I don’t.  With the Instax Mini 8 I no longer have to worry about that.  Instant photos means instant memories. ♥

    I saw the really nice purple on in the header of the page but couldn’t find it anywhere else 🙁 So my second choice to the purple one would be Yellow

    Instax Minis have other colors like Black? I totally didnt know that, even so, I would still stick with the popular colors like Mint 🙂
