One of the things we love to do during the holidays is take lots and lots of photos.  This is often the only time of the year when we see certain friends and family members, so why not make the most of it, right? We take selfies, stills, portraits and the fun shots so we can look at them all year long and relive the joy of the holiday season. One of the great things about the digital age is how easy it is to check out your photos right from the camera, but you know what is even cooler? Getting to print them right away!  

Introducing the Fujifilm Instax Mini 70, a funky instant camera that delivers hardcopy photos in seconds. It comes with a strap, strap ring, CR2 batteries and a user manual. It’s available in three fun colours: Island blue, moon white and canary yellow, my personal fave. 🙂 

Looks can be deceiving when you see a smaller camera like the Fuji Instax Mini 70, but it is light-weight, user-friendly and offers some great big camera attributes. The front of the camera displays the viewfinder, flash lampface, self timer lamp, a 60 mm lens, a selfie mirror on the edge of the lens and a shutter button. The back has the modes buttons, eyepiece, selfie timer button, selfie button, mode button, back cover, battery compartment, and the LCD, that tells you how many sheets you have left. Yes, you are reading this right – you can now take a selfie with an instant camera!!! My daughter was so excited for this feature, and really, I don’t blame her. 🙂

The Instax Mini 70 is easy to to use; just pop in the provided batteries and a cartridge of film sheets and you are good to go!  The selfies are so easy to take, and you have two options. You can either view yourself in the selfie mirror and press the shutter button when you’re ready or use the selfie timer and get single or multiple shots. All you have to do is aim and press the shutter button; the camera does all the work for you. 

The Instax Mini 70 has several modes to put your photography skills to the test and with all of these great features I think you will find it is the perfect gift for just about anyone on your gift giving list!  Both my six and twelve year olds had no trouble using the camera and absolutely loved getting their photo right away.  I can just imagine all the fun they will have with their cousins this year, taking photos, trading them and hanging them in their rooms.  🙂
