Back to school is now in full swing which should mean we get a little break from shopping for supplies, new clothes and lunch containers, right? Well, not where I come from. Late October is one of the most beautiful times of the year, but with it comes the chilly weather, rain and quite often even snow! This kind of weather will soon set off the frenzy of emails that come home reminding us to dress our children warmly with hats and mitts and to bring in a second pair of shoes to leave at school. With good reason though. Pretty soon we will awaken to frost each day, but by lunchtime that leaves the playground wet, slippery and a safe haven for muddy puddles, just waiting for little feet to jump in them.
But, there is a bit of a problem with shopping for a pair of indoor shoes for school during the fall. Everywhere you look there are stacks and racks of boots that will keep your feet from freezing in the sub-zero Canadian winters, which is great, but I need running shoes, darn it! Well, I should say this used to be a problem for us, but not anymore. In the past year or so my family has been able to turn to The Shoe Company time and again to help us find the right footwear for the job. The need for indoor shoes was no exception. Not only will you find a huge selection of running shoes to choose from, you will also be able to shop for those dreaded snow boots too!
The Shoe Company has the whole family covered too, which means it is one stop shopping. There is no need to visit multiple stores to get everyone taken care of. Earlier this summer we were able to buy new sandals, soccer shoes and some rain boots, all at the same time, same store. With hundreds of styles and brand names to choose from, you are not limited to just one or two choices. At last count, there were over 20 brands to select from, including Sketchers, Converse, Reebok and even TOMS. Unlike some of the big box stores, where it can be a struggle just to find the right size, at The Shoe Company, our biggest challenge is choosing a favourite style! Heck, even my kiddos get along and help each other out.
The Shoe Company has this great perk that every single customer can enjoy, at no cost to them. When you join the Shoe Lovers Rewards program, every dollar you spend will save you money on future purchases at several different stores. They have special offers during your birthday, bonus-points events, receipt-free returns and more. You even have the opportunity to earn VIP status, which means extra savings. Everyone wins!
Now that we have our indoor shoes purchased, the next hurdle will be to keep them from getting lost. But at least I know where to go if we need to buy a replacement pair in the middle of January. 😉
Do you have your winter boots all ready for the first snow or is a shopping trip in order?

Wow, up to 70% off sounds good to me and such a wide selection too. I think there’s one of these stores not too far from here, I should take the time and visit them. 🙂
