I am a reader, a lover of the printed word, a keeper (some might say hoarder) of books, both old editions and new. This applies to novels, children’s books, guides, manuals and yes, even textbooks. I still have all of mine from college and probably even high school. Growing up the bookcase in my room was sagging under the weight of all that entertainment and knowledge and yes sadly, the money spent on this love. We are talking thousands here people, thousands and thousands. So when I heard about CampusBookRentals I knew instantly that this was a fantastic idea.
The cost of higher learning is prohibitive all on it’s own, but when you start adding up the necessary “extras” it can certainly derail a prospective student from continuing on with their education. Any opportunity to decrease those added costs should be gratefully received by pretty much everyone who is applying for college or university. CampusBookRentals.com gives you that chance. The average textbook will run you $100 or more. Multiply that by the four to six courses you are taking and the savings with CampusBookRentals are pretty attractive! They can offer you:
- savings from 40% to 90% off of book store prices
- free shipping both ways
- you can highlight in your books
- flexible renting periods ( with free two week extension!)
- 21 day risk free returns
- live customer support
- donation to Operation Smile with every rental
Operation Smile is a wonderful international charity that sends medical teams to developing countries to preform life saving operations for children born with facial deformities, such as cleft lip and cleft palate. For every book that is rented from CampusBookRentals they make a donation to Operation Smile and to date they have committed to donating 80 surgeries! Your rental can help them do that.
CampusBookRentals has a new initiative called RentBack and this program is designed to make the student money on their used textbooks and keep them at the same time! Rentback allows you to rent your book over and over again, to new students, but retain the ownership of that book so you can add it to your collection just like I did. 🙂 I wish CampusBookRentals.com had been an option for me during my years of higher learning. The savings are huge and the ability to make some money during a time when every penny counts is incredible! Check out CampusBookRentals.com today!
What do you think the average college or university education costs now-a-days?

I don’t want to know what it costs. I just keep saving. Head down. Also I love that they give to Operation Smile.
LOL, I hear ya Paula 🙂 It is not pretty to think what it will cost when my ten year old goes, let alone the four year old!!!
As a university student, I remember working all summer to pay for my tuition and text books. The books were hundreds of dollars for all of my courses.
Yes I recall those days Jenna. I suppose it helped build character, but it would be nice to get some of that money back now. Put it toward the mortgage, LOL
text books are insanely expensive and lots of times we didn’t even end up using the book, it’s so unfair. I love the idea of rentback!
Yes Jennifer, you are so right! The rentback is a great idea and I hope a lot of students take advantage of it..
Such a great idea! I spent a fortune on my textbooks and most are still sitting on a shelf. Love the idea of renting so you can use them when you need then return them.
And still have the freedom to mark up the book to suit your needs! It is a win win situation..
Awesome Post! Text books are so expensive! Fabulous idea! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for stopping in!
Great post! I will have to let my college student nephew know about this. I know he could use it.
Wonderful, I hope he checks it out Kathy!
I have a college freshman who spent $600 on textbooks the first semester and only cracked open a few as the professors didn’t use them. Very frustrating as a parent! Thankfully a friend told my son about Campus Book Rental and he used them for this semester!
Oh that is great Shaunna, I hope his savings are huge!
We have one headed to college in a few years so this is good to know. Anything that can help reduce expense!
Every little bit sure does help!
I love the idea. My elder son will be going to college next year and this will definitely help. Thanks!
You are most welcome Veronica!
