On July 1, Canadians can #GIVEaDAM and watch a man dressed head-to-tail in a beaver costume, in the wilderness, building a dam. You heard right. A man in a beaver costume. Building a dam. On Canada Day. And you can watch him do it.
Skittles is paying tribute to one of Canada’s most endearing symbols: The Beaver, so in celebration of Canada’s landmark birthday – Canada 151, Canadians can tune in to watch a live video stream of the Beaver Man with never before seen footage.
Each online view will help contribute towards Skittles donation* to the David Suzuki foundation showing that Canadians #GIVEaDAM about our national environment and the prosperity of the majestic beaver.
“Skittles wanted to do something special to wish Canada a happy 151st birthday so we decided to go a step beyond the patriotic NEW Skittles Red & White Mix,” says Diana Frost, VP Marketing, Mars Wrigley Confectionery Canada. “We decided to celebrate this year’s milestone with a special tribute to the beaver – an animal that perfectly represents Canada in the way only Skittles can.”
Viewers can witness the magic by visiting skittlesgiveadam.ca on July 1st at 1:51 p.m. EST to see what our Canadian “wildlife” are up to.
But, that’s not all. To celebrate this extraordinar-EH birthday Skittles has launched its new Red & White Mix with summer flavours: watermelon, white grape, peach, strawberry and cherry, now available in stores, while supplies last.
