Smile Pretty For The Camera On New Year’s Eve & Beyond!

December 30, 2015 By: MapleMouseMama19 Comments

make your smile pretty

I am as guilty as the next person when it comes to not wanting to have my photo taken. I will do anything to avoid the glare of the lens, staring me down, taunting me to say “cheese.”  Some people are naturally drawn to the camera and it is usually very kind to them.  Not this writer. The camera and I are not friends, but I am trying to change that, one step at a time.

Earlier this year when planning our family’s vacation to Walt Disney World, I made the very brave decision that I was no longer going to hide behind the camera. That I would be included in family photos, smiling my head off.  But, I was scared. Aside from not enjoying the lime light and feeling the farthest thing from the definition of photogenic, I am also a bit embarrassed by my smile. Or, more to the point, my teeth. Now, my teeth are not rotting out of my head or anything like that, but they are not that pearly white of toothpaste commercials one dreams of. But, I decided to try and change that.

At the start of 2015 I was fortunate to be asked to work with a variety of products with the intent of sharing them with you guys.  The list of products is varied, but most of them have a place in my home. One of my favourites by far is the Arm & Hammer™ Spinbrush™ Truly Radiant™ Extra White™ Battery Toothbrush.  Everyone in the family now uses these toothbrushes and we love them! My husband and I pair it with Arm & Hammer™ Truly Radiant™ Rejuvenating Toothpaste. This power duo not only leaves you with minty fresh breath, it also strengthen, cleans and whitens your teeth in just five days!

make your smile pretty

You better believe that I used these two before, during and after our trip and have continued on with this routine. The holidays have always meant hiding behind the tree or a nicely wrapped gift to avoid that requisite family photo, but not anymore! Now I feel confidant that my smile is at it’s brightest and healthiest, just in time for that magical first kiss of the New Year. ♥

Want to brighten, whiten and perk up your smile, while getting that healthy glow?  It is the start of a new  year, so why not try a new routine with the Arm & Hammer Spinbrush Truly Radiant Extra White Battery Toothbrush and Arm & Hammer Truly Radiant Rejuvenating Toothpaste.  🙂

Will you be taking the challenge to give your smile a little more oomph? Make sure to check back in once in a while and let me know how you are doing. 🙂

Happy New Year!

Like you I’m not at all keen on being photographed, I can honestly say that I do not photograph well. Still I have to put up with it so as not to annoy people. This above is however a great photo of you and yours, I love it. 🙂

I agree and I hate it. But it’s important to pass those photos down to our children. Darn it…

Great article and picture of you and your family.

Might just look for this toothpaste, although I have sensitive teeth and wonder if it would make it worse.

School pics were the worst! I have my extra large glasses to look at when I see them, LOL. But, the memories they bring up are worth it. 🙂 Thanks for reading Bryony, I appreciate it. 🙂

We can all be critical of ourselves, especially in pictures. I saw a t shirt that says perfectly imperfect and I think that describes everyone of us .
