Today is not Wordless Wednesday or Silent Sunday or Throwback Thursday so there is no blog related reason I am sharing this photo. I am doing it just because. Because tonight I came home after a very long and very tiring day at work with a pounding headache, ready to throw in the towel and my two imps, the ones pictured above, made me feel better. A lot better.
I was dreading the usual bickering that occurs quite regularly or the also typical cries of “I’m not eating that,” but thankfully they did not come. Sometimes, when I least expect it, my two monkeys surprise me. They get that mama had a rough day and they react like I hope they will. Case in point the oldest has been reading to the youngest for the past 45 minutes so I could catch up on some emails, check blog comments etc, with relative quiet. Just coming off a week of family vacation I have a lot of catching up to do, but these two have made it a little easier tonight. So, I just wanted to share my two cuties, the loves of my life and say how grateful I am that they are mine.
I love you Emily sweetheart and I love you William baby. Thank you God for my blessings.

Thank you for your post on your two angels this evening. It is so good to hear how children can read their parents sometimes and make our days better instead of more difficult! I am glad they were helpful today when you needed it most. I only have one child, so it inspires me to know that the older one helps out with the younger one!

I envy you with my whole heart..I am a 63 year old bachelor who lives alone and rarely sees the beauty that a child can bring into your life

Oh you are sweet Ronald and it is true. Children open our eyes to so many things we would otherwise not see. God bless!
