It’s early on a deary Sunday morning, a bit of a chill in the air despite being July and all I want to do is go back to bed. But, my young son is having none of that so what am I to do? Usually I would make a cup of tea, my normal Tetley and snuggle with William on the couch. Sounds nice, doesn’t it? Recently I had the opportunity to change up that routine a bit and try something new. That is where Steeped Tea comes in! I consider myself a tea connoisseur, thanks in part to my Scottish heritage, but I had not really ventured into loose tea before. Well, now I have and I was pleasantly surprised by Steeped Tea. You will be to.
Steeped Tea is a part of the growing trend of on-line businesses, with consultants in both Canada and the USA. I had the chance to meet up with two local reps here in Ontario. Chantal and Sean are passionate about their new business and hope you will be to! In order to help our CANADIAN followers see what I mean, MapleMouseMama has teamed with Chantal and Sean to bring you a special giveaway! One lucky winner will receive a ten dollar gift card to use towards a Steeped Tea purchase AND one 25g package of Cherry Pie Rooibos Tea. Believe me, it will taste as good as it sounds.
Chantal and Sean were kind enough to provide me with several samples of their yummy teas and I was not disappointed. Working with my trusty assistant Emily, we sampled four of the Rooibos Teas. These lovely leaves are naturally caffeine free which makes them a healthy alternative to coffee and they are great for children! Emily and I sampled Rooibos Pina Colada, Vanilla Cupcake, Toffee Crunch and Hot Toddy trying all four on their own and with milk ( I like milk in my “regular” tea). These teas have a lovely caramel colour to them and they smell heavenly! The Hot Toddy smells of spices, think nutmeg and has a soothing flavour, while the other three teas were more on the sweet side. I could even imagine sitting on a beach somewhere when sipping the Pina Colada. It was my favorite! There was a hint of coconut in this one. I actually preferred these teas without milk, which surprised me, but in a good way. They do not need anything added to them as their taste speaks for itself.
Emily and I also sampled two Fruit Teas. A Herbal one called Bella Coola and the other was Berry Mania. The colours were different with these two. One turned a lovely shade of red and the other was kind of purple! A nice surprise with these Fruit Teas is that they can be prepared as traditional hot tea or as a refreshing iced tea! Yup, we tried them both ways and really enjoyed them. With summer upon us, the Fruit Teas, once cooled, can have ice added or you can follow the recipe on the Steeped Tea website to make a slushy version.
Along with the over fifty varieties of teas you can find on the Steeped Tea website they also offer a variety of infusers, tea presses, tea pots, cups and more! A gal could go wild on this site. I was mentally making my Christmas list as I perused the on line cataloges, LOL. It brought me back to a time when having a tea party was a great way to get together with your friends and just relax. Now you can do that again with Steeped Tea. I don’t know about you, but I have a lovely collection of dainty tea cups just waiting to be put into service.
Now that I have peaked your interest in Steeped Tea, you are going to want to check them out! Chantal and Sean have a Facebook page here that I urge you to visit and you can also send them an email at sc.tea@outlook.com to place an order. Don’t forget this great giveaway to win a ten dollar gift card to use towards a Steeped Tea purchase AND one 25g package of Cherry Pie Roobios Tea.

I have tried these teas before and have a few as well as the bodum ice tea jug. My boys absolutely loved the bubble gum tea, I mean who wouldn’t love gum in their tea? I got to say the Hot Toddy tea sounds intriguing as does cherry pie. I just love bright red drinks don’t you? They taste twice as good as any other colour. I’m sure you know the reference. lol
That is great that you have tried these before Farrah. I have not ventured too far into the field of loose tea and was pleasantly surprised with Steeped Tea. I saw the bubble gum one and was fascinated! That will be on our list to try next. Good luck with the giveaway and thank you for your support

Being a Brit…I also love my teas!!! I love going into tea shops to look at and smell all of the loose leaf teas! The combinations you can make with them are heavenly too! And I am like you in that I drink Tetley with milk and all other teas without! Odd, but that’s why we are friends!!! I think the Pina Colada sounds very appealing….as I love the real thing, but the thoughts of Vanilla Cupcake and Toffee Crunch make me hungry…so I cna’t decide!!! Maybe I need to order them all!!!
Thanks for this Suz!! As always, you are wonderful!!!
Aww JT, I can always count on you ♥♥ I can just picture you and your mum have a cuppa whilst sporting your fascinators, LOL
I love tea to and really enjoyed trying out these. There is one for kids that actually comes with bubblegum!!
Hugs my friend and thank you
