Before having children, I never gave too much thought to what kids got up to during summer break nowadays. I recall hanging out with friends when I was young; going to the local pool or park and just being. We often played on a team sport in the evening, but the daytime, well, we really did while away the time.
Now that I have kids of my own, I totally see how this bad habit of doing nothing during the summer is not only a hard one to break, but it can cause kids to lose some of the good study habits they created during the school year. And boredom can lead to all sorts of mischief, not the least of which is your teen sleeping until noon, then watching TV until you come home in the evening. But how do we put a stop to this lack of things to do before school is even done for the year? With a giveaway, of course!
This Spring, Wife.Mother.Teacher. is giving away three of their Summer School from Home programs to three lucky readers!!
