Isn’t it wonderful that Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) are becoming the norm now and often don’t elicit the same shocked looked on people’s faces as they first did a few years ago? Maybe it’s paying for the coffee order of the car in the drive thru line behind you or shoveling your neighbor’s driveway in the winter. Whatever it is you do to make someone’s day a little brighter, keep it up. In this time of turmoil in the world where people have to leave their home country just to survive, we need all of the Random Acts of Kindness we can get our hands on.
Recently, the shoppers at the Toronto Christmas Market in the Distillery District were surprised by Koodo with a wonderful RAK when 80 local singers shared their talent to spread holiday cheer. A special rendition of The Cure hit, Friday I’m in Love, was performed by Choir! Choir! Choir! This upbeat, happy song had people dancing, smiling and singing along. Inspiring random acts of happiness throughout the holidays, The Cure’s Robert Smith provided the song rights in lieu of a donation. Koodo kept the generosity of spirit going and passed it on, donating the song fee to Choir! Choir! Choir! to help in its efforts to sponsor a Syrian refugee family.

What will you do to spread some cheer this holiday season? Help us all to #ChooseHappy and share this tweet of the video!

Disclosure: While I was compensated for this post, I was also only too happy to share it. My family is giving back by donating to my children’s school this holiday to help support local families who may otherwise go without this year. #ChooseHappy

I agree and regularly help feed the homeless in my comunity all year long. I am involved in a group that gathers food stuff, cooks, and gathers much needed supplies for our homeless vets. It’s amazing what a little kindness can do for someone else…
That is really great to hear Jeena, good for you!
This is so awesome. My boys and I donated clothes, shoes and toys this past holiday season. #ChooseHappy
This is so heart-warming! We have a RAK club at my school!
You dont have to have lots of money to help people, sometimes just a hug or a smile can make someone,s day nicer
This is something I always try to remember to do. It doesn’t take much to help someone else.
