While baking is not my forte, I do like using great tools, like the Hamilton Beach Classic Hand Stand Mixer, when I do venture into the kitchen. In fact, a hand stand mixer is something I have always wanted! I know that probably surprises some of you ( my hubby was like “Whaaaaat?”) but it’s true. Maybe it is the aesthetic of hand stand mixers that appeals to me; I’m not sure, but I do like how it looks on my counter.
Summer is a great time to entertain family and friends and offering your guests home baked goodies shows them just how much you love and appreciate them. (Check out this Fresh Strawberry Cake!) Luckily, there is a never ending list of delights you can bake and use a hand stand mixer for, like cakes, muffins, loafs, breads, sauces and more. If you are used to using a hand mixer for your baking, you are in for a treat when using the Hamilton Beach Classic Hand Stand Mixer. It allows you the freedom to work on other tasks (preferably related to the baking you are already doing) while your ingredients combine together to make something awesome. It is literally hands-free! However, it also allows you to switch to using the hand-held mixer, maybe for a more challenging recipe or to get at the nooks and crannies of your mixing bowl. Have a look below:
Features of the Classic Hand Stand Mixer
If that doesn’t convince you that you need a hand stand mixer in your life than have a gander at these features:
- Powerful 290 Watt motor
- 6 speeds with a QuickBurst™ button
- Slower first speed for stirring in ingredients with no splashing
- Unique multi-position bowl
- Traditional beaters, wire beaters and wisk
- Detachable mixing head, doubles as a hand mixer
- Deluxe 4qt. stainless steel bowl
- Bowl Rest™ mixer stabilizer when used as a hand mixer
- Cord wrap
Features of the 6 Speed Stand Mixer
Hamilton Beach actually has several models of hand and stand mixers to choose from, but I think the Classic is perfect for the occasional baker. Someone who likes to dabble in the dessert arts once in awhile. Someone like me. If you want a mixer with more power, more tools (think making bread!) than you might want to choose one like the 6 Speed Stand Mixer. It has complete bowl coverage and includes:
- Hands-free mixing action – Mixing head spins as it rotates completely inside the bowl
- Includes 3 attachments. Flat beater, dough hook & whisk are dishwasher safe
- Stainless steel 3.5 Quart Bowl
- Tilt-ip head
- 6 speeds and Fold setting
- 300 watt motor
- Nonslip Feet
The first confection we created using our Classic Hand Stand Mixer turned out to be an old favourite of ours, Banana Bread (recipe coming soon!) I loved how well it mixed the dry and wet ingredients together, never clumping and the beaters were strong enough to mash a full banana without needing to be cut up first! That was a pleasant surprise.
What recipe of yours would you try out first if using the Hamilton Beach Classic Hand Stand Mixer? Or are you more of a 6 Speed Stand Mixer kind of baker?

This would be great to win for my mom
I’ve always wanted one of these. Now with physical problems it would be a big help in the kitchen.
I agree Lisa. If necessary a person can use it sitting at their kitchen table and take the stress off of standing etc..
Oh, a stand mixer is better for me. I can make more treats. At Christmas the first think I’d make big batches ofof cookie dough and scones.
Ooo, that sounds yummy Lisa! A stand mixer would definitely make things easier when baking a lot of things.
This is a bit different from my stand mixer but I would love to give it a try. Thanks for the article.
My first thought was, “Nope! Don’t need anything like this! I can do the work myself!” Then I realized that I am getting on in years and the day will come when my hands will NOT be able to all of the work ! So, this is a very good idea! I particularly like the idea of the banana bread and or plain bread. By the way, I have the world’s best recipe for Banana/Pineapple Bread!
Another thought, both the older baker and the busy Mom could use one of these machines! Thanks to Hamilton Beach and thanks to you, Suz!
I love how compact it is.. This would be so handy in the kitchen!
I would love to use this to make a banana bread or even a nice fresh batch of bran muffins. Mashed potatoes would be good too!
Love how it collapses !! And the sleek modern look . Kitchenaide mixers are nice but take up so much room .
Wonderful stand mixer, would make life so much easier.
It definitely does Sharon. We have used it several times now and it is a great tool.
It’s certainly a beautiful set!
banana bread sounds really yummy
Neat designs, sounds like something useful for bakers
I have both a hand-mixer and a stand mixer, both have their uses. For example to mix dough I use the stand mixer for scrambling eggs I use the hand-mixer. I use a stab mixer for things like creams or mayo.
I love the idea of having a mixer that can get the banana all smashed up for me! Would just make things easier.
I would love to have a mixer like this because this would make baking much easier especially since I’ve only got a hand mixer
A stand mixer make things so much easier when baking.
