Shopping is not my favourite thing to do, especially when it involves taking the kids, but this time of year it can be necessary. Back to school shopping used to be something only my daughter worried about. My son could care less, but all that changed this year. Perhaps it is because he is no longer in kindergarten. Maybe he is just growing up. Whatever the reason, I was surprised with William’s new found interest in back to school shopping for clothes.
Fortunately for me shopping for boys clothes has become easier. I have limited mobility these days and dread any outing that has the word “mall” in it. That is where my local Carters/OshKosh B’gosh store comes in to play. Yes, it is in a mall, but it is the outdoor kind. You know the type I mean. I can park right up front, walk over and I am in. No driving around looking for parking in a huge mall parking lot, then trekking miles around the place. Nope, my local Carters/OshKosh is ideally located for me. I even ran into another mom from our school while we were there. 🙂 It’s our friendly neighborhood store. ♥
There are other, even better reasons to love shopping at Carters/OshKosh, even if it is located in a regular mall. Can you say quality, selection and price? Those are three fabulous reasons to take yourself to Carters/OshKosh pretty much any day this week and get your kiddos, both boys and girls, all decked out in hip and stylish back to school outfits!
So, back to the shopping. William was not happy, at first, to be taken to the store, but as soon as he saw where we were there was no stopping him! From the moment he stepped in until he carried his bag of loot to the car, he would not stop chatting about his new clothes and how cool he was going to look. It was really quite adorable. Now, the proof is really in the pictures so have a gander at my little model as he shows off on his own version of the catwalk.
What really impressed me, aside from the great colours of the clothes and the sweet patterns (love that multi blue striped top and that hoodie is gorgeous!) was the price. Can I just tell you that for all of the items below, including some jammies that are not pictured (a three piece set), I paid less than $135.00!! That is a huge score! The blue OshKosh hoodie is a size larger than William would normally wear so it will last quite awhile. The pants are a bit long, but they can be rolled and length is always a tough one for us. These great pants will last him for the whole year – mark my words. We will easily get ten or more outfits from this haul. You can not beat the savings on clothes that you know will last practically forever!
So now that we have the clothes that will make my little man even more handsome than he already is, we need to get just the right backpack to keep his cool factor on the plus side. My question is do you think I can convince him to go with a Disney themed one again this year? 😉
Are you ready for back to school yet or will you be heading to the mall?

I love shopping at Carters/OshKosh for my grandchildren or when a baby present is needed. I love the quality and we actually have a outlet store here so prices are always great but at sales time they are unbelievable – and like you it’s situated with a big group of other outlet stores, but the stores are all in smallish groupings so parking isn’t normally a problem for me either.
