Did you know that the jolly bearded man who visits all the children in the world at Christmas has a summer cottage right here in Bracebridge, Ontario Canada? A mere 60 years ago Santa Claus was looking for a place to hang out in the sunny, summer months and the Enchanted Muskoka Woodlands beckoned. Santa’s elves got busy and not only built him and the Mrs a cottage, but an entire village as well! While Santa’s Village is always a wonderful place to visit, 2015 is even more special. The entire town of Bracebridge is celebrating the 60th Anniversary of this charming and exciting Christmas themed Family Entertainment Park!
Santa’s Village already has so much to offer (3 parks people!!) and it seems that every year there is something new. This summer brings us an Aerial Adventure Park on Elves Island, which is perfect for the littles in your life, and the expansion of Muskoka Ziplines & Aerial Park in Sportsland!! Visitors can tour all of the village on Santa’s miniature train or cruise the Muskoka River in Santa’s Summer Sleigh Jet Boat! And that’s not all. Santa’s Village has all the traditional rides we love like Santa’s Roller Coaster Sleigh ride, the Red Baron biplane ride, Ferris wheel and more. There are live shows and roving entertainers for non-stop fun. Children will be able to visit with Santa and see his elves hard at work. I can’t wait to get the must have photo – my kiddos sitting with Santa. I can display it proudly beside my own photos from my childhood.
Now that I have your attention here is a little more to entice the child in you to visit Santa’s Village this summer. Sportsland is better than ever with the ole favourites still a popular draw: go-karts, rock wall, mini-golf, bungee trampoline, laser tag and more! When you need a cool down there is a beach and splash pad, playgrounds, games, animals and entertainment galore! You will not be bored at Santa’s Village. For those visiting from out of town there is Santa’s Whispering Pines Campgrounds located right across the street. Don’t have a tent? Not a problem because Whispering Pines also has rustic cabins for rent. Santa really has you covered.
