Fewer things can keep my son busy like a brand new box of Lego. It can be a small figurine or a huge play-set. He will work with it and the instruction booklet for hours until it is done. Even when bedtime is looming, he will beg for “just a few more minutes” to complete his work of art. I love to sit and watch him study the instructions intently, match up pieces and use his little hands to make them all work together. I have marveled at his ability to do a complicated Lego play-set for a few years now, despite his young age. Lego sure has the market cornered when it comes to entertaining children at home.
But, they don’t stop there. Did you know that there are several Legoland Discovery Centres across North America? We even have one right here in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area)!! Located in the Vaughn Mills Mall at the top of Toronto, this indoor playground gives new meaning to the word adventure. Once you set your child free inside, you will probably not see them for quite some time, but parents can follow their kiddo around and take refuge in the cafe, located right inside Legoland.
What Awaits You
The Legoland Discovery Centre boasts hours and hours of fun for the whole family, including rides, play zones, movies and more. Here is a sample of what you will find:
- Kingdom Quest ride
- Miniland
- Lego Racers: Build & Test
- Earthquake Tables
- Lego Friends
- Lego Master Builder Academy
- Duplo Village
- Lego City Play Zone and more!
Between the rides, the building, playing and running around, your little ones will have the time of their lives. Your big ones can as well because the Legoland Discovery Centre even hosts special nights for adults only! Neat, huh? They are only limited by their imaginations.
