Tis the season to be out shopping and spending lots of money, honey! I love the spirit of the season as much as the next guy, but let’s face it, we do spend a lot of time and money buying presents during the holidays. For example, did you know they celebrate Mother’s Day on December 8th in Panama? Or the Dōngzhi Festival in Taiwan on December 21st? Independence Day starts on December 16th in Kazakhstan and Jamhuri Day in Kenya is on December 12th.

This year Hanukkah starts on December 13th, Christmas Day is always on December 25th and Kwanzaa celebrations start on December 26th. In my family we even have several birthdays to shop for in December! So there is always a reason to be making a list and checking it twice no matter what part of the world you live in. And that is where we come in. Canadian bloggers to the rescue!

    I would buy my kids and husband some extra Christmas gifts. I’ve always wanted to buy my husband a kitchenaid stand mixer (he does most of the cooking), my oldest would get some LEGO Batman sets, my youngest wants superman toys.

    I would definitly use this towards Christmas this year. With a 12 year old and 3 older married kids that have blessed me with 5 grandbabies under 4, it would be a blessing.

    If I won, I would use the money to buy a bed. My mom recently moved in with me due to having a stroke, and I gave her my bed and am currently sleeping on the couch.

    I would use the #BlizzardBucks and pay for my sister and her family to be able to come visit us for the holidays!!! Her husband is disabled and she has to save up gas money and hotel money for them to come stay, and working on a one person income is hard for her to stay. I would love for them to be able to be here with family for the holidays!

    I would buy something for my grandsons, my kids and then grab a few gifts to put under the giving tree at the mall. I love giving gifts and that extra money sure would come in handy to spread the joy a bit further.

    I would use the Blizzard Bucks to assist with our Adopt a Family where I work. This is an annual event where employees can adopt a family in need for the Christmas holiday. It’s been a real pleasure to see the employee when they come and pick up their gifts. Most of the time the employee is in tears. It just makes you feel good about giving and the realization that we have so much to be grateful for on a daily basis. I am GRATEFUL!
