As a born and raised Canadian gal I have always loved our winters. What’s not too love? We get lots of snow, there are tons of outdoor activities to keep you busy and the fresh air is good for all of us. However, I find as I get older I am a little less in love with winter than I was as a child. Shoveling the white stuff is not as fun as sledding down a hill of it. And the cold, well I just don’t tolerate it as well as I used to. My kiddos have no problem bundling up to play in the snow for hours, but that shipped has sailed for moi. Alas, there are a a few things that prevent me from hibernating like the bears do and chief among them would be shopping for essentials for the family.
Have you ever tried to push a shopping cart through the mucky, yucky brown snow that fills the grocery store parking lot? How about lugging all of those bags across a snow and ice covered walkway? It’s a pain in the rear, trust me. Luckily I have found HealthSnap.ca, an amazing 100% Canadian online health and beauty retail site located in Toronto, Ontario.
HealthSnap sells thousands of products that fall into a number of different categories including: Baby & Mom, Beauty & Skin Care, Diet & Fitness, Household, Medicine, Personal Care, Sexual Wellness, and Vitamins & Supplements. What this means is that you can order, from the warmth and comfort of you living room, all of the essentials to keep your family happy, healthy and feeling good. The items HealthSnap carries are just like what you find in your local drugstore. Here are just a few:
- soaps • cleaning supplies • pain relievers
- hair products • batteries • cold medicine
- supplements • baby formula • oral care
- skin care products • bars & powders • lip balm
- feminine hygiene products • diapers • sun care
- drugstore cosmetics • vitamins • pregnancy & fertility
Shopping may not be everyone’s cup of tea (they even sell that!), but HealthSnap makes it easy and it is a little addicting. 🙂 After setting up an account you just select the items you want and order away! Home Delivery is Canada wide, with some exceptions and you can also arrange to pick up items at a local pharmacy. The HealthSnap team is proud to support small local businesses with their free pharmacy pickup orders (at affiliated locations.)
I was pleasantly surprised when our order arrived in a short amount of time. Local delivery is just a couple of days, but rural locations need to check here to see if they qualify for delivery. All of our products were well packaged, doubled bagged and well protected. It was so cool to have this box of goodies to go through. To give you an example of cost we received everything in the photo above for about $150.00. HealthSnap.ca has a lot of brands to choose from and if you can’t find your favourite, just ask! They will try to get it for you.
So if you are like me and have a love/hate relationship with winter, keep warm by shopping online with HealthSnap.ca. There is nothing not to love about this great company and the service they provide.
Have you ever shopped online before? Do you enjoy the experience?

The only things that I buy online are flights. I’m more of a touch, see and feel person before I buy anything. Yesterday for example I went to buy a new winter jacket and must have tried on at least 10, all the same size and very similar design, before I found the one I wanted to buy.

I’m a big amazon fan!! I love how delivery is free when its over $25 no matter how big the item is (you certainly don’t get that with walmart.com!!! every time I find something there its a $50 shpping fee and more esp if its big)
The biggest thing we have gotten from amazon was this huge two story ferret nation cage….its about $500 with taxes in the city from the pet stores, means driving to the city with the truck because of the size (truck costs way more to drive into the city then the 2door car) BUT with amazon it was actually delivered right to my door (Even canada post has never delivered any thing to my door in this 1000 pop town!!) …. this thing was in a huge box and the lady delivery person and I slid it over the ice and snow and got it inside LOL … easy as ever to set up and the cost was $258 , taxes included, so tons of cheaper then any place local I could have driven to ….yeah, I love me some online shopping (don’t even ask my about my boot shopping online…I have three pairs coming in the mail as we speak)

LOL Sabina, that is a riot! I have never ordered from amazon, but hubby has and he is usually pretty happy with the outcome.

Thanks for telling me about HealthSnap.ca! It sound interesting! I have shopped online before and I really like it. Amazon.ca is my favourite. I get my parcels very quickly and the shipping is usually free if you spend over a certain amount. I am reluctant to buy clothing online because I am unsure about sizing and the possibility of paying to return items that don’t fit.

That’s a lot of good stuff in what you got.

That was certainly a nice selection of products for the amount you paid!
